The 2026 Da Nang beach tourism season officially kicks off this weekend, promising to bring many new and emotional experiences to visitors.

Many new points create attraction
According to the plan, the opening program of the Da Nang beach tourism season will take place for 9 days, from April 25 to May 3 at the East Sea Park, Son Tra peninsula and key tourist beaches of the city. According to Mr. Tran Dai Nghia, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, the opening program of this year’s beach tourism season has 19 main activities, of which 5 new activities and 14 activities have been maintained over the years.
The addition of 5 new activities is a prominent highlight that is expected to enrich the experience for visitors. In particular, the International Pizza Festival taking place at the East Sea Park is a color that intersects culinary culture, combining famous landscapes and monuments at home and abroad, creating a unique “check-in” space.
Also at the East Sea Park, an experience of making ice cream from Vietnamese rice plants will be organized. This activity is both creative, promoting domestic agricultural products, and creating a new highlight for visitors. There, visitors will use Vietnamese specialty rice by themselves such as yellow flower glutinous rice, Seng Cu Tu Le rice, Tay Giang red brown rice, glutinous rice… combined with other ingredients to make gelato ice cream with Italian technology.
Another notable activity is “Beach Water Fight”, which took place on the afternoon of April 30, recreating the vibrant summer festival atmosphere right on the beach, combining music and interactive games. Not only stopping at entertainment, the program also integrates the message of protecting the marine environment, towards sustainable tourism.
In parallel with new activities, many familiar programs continue to be maintained such as art kite shows, sailboat shows, sea swimming tournament “Summer waves”, culinary space “Taste of Vietnam”, nightly art performances… creating a bustling festival atmosphere, meeting the entertainment needs of people and tourists when coming to Da Nang beach this festive season.

Spreading the message of marine environmental protection
Not only stopping at organizing events, the 2026 Da Nang beach tourism season pays special attention to environmental factors. This year’s event is the first time to organize the “Son Tra Walking Day” activity, which is scheduled to take place on May 1. This is a new experiential and educational activity, encouraging people and tourists to participate in walking, combined with picking up garbage, contributing to raising awareness of preserving the ecosystem of Son Tra peninsula.
One of the other key activities is the Marine Environment Day with the theme “Da Nang Beach – say no to plastic waste”. Here, students from universities in the area and people will participate in cleaning the beach and collecting garbage. The “Exchange garbage for gifts” model is implemented, encouraging people to bring plastic waste in exchange for environmentally friendly products such as cloth bags, glass jars, and trees.
According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, the message of limiting the use of plastic bags, plastic waste and cigarettes in the beach area will be integrated throughout many activities, from visual communication to interactive programs. The “checkin” areas, festival spaces are also designed in association with the theme of “green”, creating a natural spread through the experience of visitors.
It can be seen that the opening program of the Da Nang beach tourism season in 2026 is not only a series of entertainment and entertainment activities, but also a clear shift in the city’s approach to tourism development. The harmonious combination of experience, culture and environmental protection has created a new look – vibrant but sustainable, modern but still associated with community responsibility. According to the announcement of the destinations that are most interested in April by the online travel platform Booking.com, coastal cities continue to be the top choice for the “double” holiday of Hung King’s Birthday and 30/4 – 01/5. Specifically, Da Nang leads the top 10 domestic destinations most searched by domestic tourists during the holidays at the end of April. Meanwhile, according to the search data for domestic accommodation establishments on the digital travel platform Agoda, the number of searches for accommodation establishments with domestic tourists in Da Nang increased by 89% for the long vacation at the end of April extending to the beginning of May compared to the same period last year.
