Rough Guides has posted the most selected destinations for the Year of the Gap – issued by the British Travel Association, including Vietnam.

Gap years are meant that young people who have just graduated from high school or college, spent about a year to relax and gain a living experience before beginning to pursue higher education. Around this time, many young people have chosen to travel to explore themselves and new lands.

The Roughguides website has posted the most selected destinations for the Gap Year – by the Travel Association of England, in order of Thailand, Australia, USA, South Africa, Peru, Vietnam, Brazil, India, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Description about Vietnam, Roughguides said, few countries can have changed much in a short time like Vietnam. This is a moving country. Accessing to this place is easier than ever, roads are being upgraded, more hotels are coming up with the development of the market economy.

Roughguides also said: As the number of tourists visiting Vietnam has leaped. Attention is also drawn to rice fields with magnificent landscapes white sand beaches, diverse cities and ancient temple. Vietnam is really a phoenix revived from ashes.
