Phu Quoc Island makes for a fantastic getaway—beaches, water sports, national parks, history and plenty of delicious seafood. You don’t even need a visa if you fly in directly. Just book your flight and accommodation and you’re golden. Here are some of our favorite places to stay on this island.
Mango Bay Resort, Phu Quoc

Mango Bay may be a two-star hotel, but it is a wonderful option for a budget traveler as you get all the conveniences of a resort for an affordable price. The resort is built on ten hectares of beachfront land, six miles (ten kilometers) north of Duong Dong, the main town of the island. The ethos of Mango Bay Resort is to create something rustic, close to nature, and to merge seamlessly with the surrounding environment, which they seem to have perfected.
This is an unpretentious, eco-friendly resort that has only 44 rooms and villas, each unique. There is an onsite bar, two excellent restaurants, and plenty of water activities in the near vicinity. In addition to providing all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, they go the extra mile, providing bug spray, mosquito nets, beach bags, torches, and even board games. Mango Bay Resort also supports Wildlife At Risk (WAR), which aims to protect and conserve Vietnam’s beautiful biodiversity.

Ancarine Beach Resort

Ancarine Beach Resort, formerly known as Phu Quoc Blue Sea Resort offers you the perfect getaway located on Ong Lang Beach. It is not too far from the excitement of the city center and thus offers you easy access to the must-see destinations of the tourist circuit of the island, while at the same time being far away enough to avoid the hustle and bustle. With its own private beach, Ancarine is ideal for fun and relaxation with sea, sand and waves. All the necessary amenities are offered, ensuring you a comfortable stay.
There are only ten rooms here, all with balconies and cozy seating areas, and in addition to the private beach, there are fitness facilities, a pool, and a gorgeous green garden. Bike and kayak rentals here are free of charge. The resort is close to the Phu Quoc National Park, so expect to fall asleep to the soft sounds of crickets chirping and tree leaves rustling in the wind. Waking up to the birds in the morning is even more relaxing.

Sea Sense Resort

Sea Sense Resort is a four-star resort on Phu Quoc located in the north-west of the island, away from the loud noises of the city, offering you a true, secluded getaway. The resort is built in seven-hectares surrounded by mountains, with jungle on one side and sea shore on the other. There are 55 ocean-front villas that are disturbed by virtually nothing. Picture yourself living comfortably among green trees, colorful tropical flowers, undisturbed turquoise waters, pristine white sand, and golden sunrays. The Garden House Phu Quoc Resort

Garden House is set in four hectares and is unlike any other resort on Phu Quoc island. The resort is as the name suggests, a house in a large, green and gorgeous garden, at the side of a mountain. The whole place has a jungle vibe. Each garden house combines contemporary and Vietnamese décor, and has a small pond in the front of the living room. Guests can use the impressive swimming pool, outdoor sports area and of course, dining and drinking centers. If you are there during the right time, you can even pick tropical fruits such as bananas and papayas, right outside your door. No beach is needed when you have a garden like this. Plus since it’s an island, the beach is never far away.
