A walking route along the southern Huong River, Hue City, under the “Detailed Planning of the Huong River and Pilot Project”, has a total budget of VND 52.9 billion (out of a total of USD 6 million by the government) through KOICA, a non-refundable grant to Hue City.
The route was researched by Han-A Research Institute and Dohwa Engineering Company of Korea. Thua Thien Hue Irrigation Construction Joint Stock Company was a construction contractor. Started in February 2018, the works are finishing the final stages to put into use from September 15th.
The route of the project includes items such as pedestrian bridges, parquet floor, boating, stage performances outdoors, traffic system, pedestrian walk along the river from Phu Xuan bridge to Festival restaurant, lighting system and other auxiliary items to connect the pedestrian street Nguyen Dinh Chieu, from Truong Tien bridge to Ly Tu Trong park, Hue city, serving tourists enjoy the scenery.
The 400m long pedestrian walkway is designed with reinforced concrete floor on the D400 centrifugal concrete pile, parquet flooring is parqueted (timber imported from the South African legally), with a total area of wood ceiling limitation 2.438m2; the total cost of wood flooring for pedestrian bridge is 5.14 billion, including the ironwood finished products are processed.
