    Hanoi is located in Red River Delta, adjacent: Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc to the north; Ha Nam, Hoa Binh to the south; Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen to the east; and Hoa Binh, Phu Thio to the west. The capital retains a convenient location of an important economic, political, cultural, social, and scientific center and a strategic traffic hub in Vietnam.

    Hanoi locates at a scared land formed for a long time. King Ly Thai To chosen Hanoi as the capital from 1010, named Thang Long (the flying dragon). Its name became Hanoi in 1831, under King Minh Mang. Then in 1902, Hanoi became the capital of the Indochinese Federation and was re-constructed and re-planned by the French. Over 2 wars defending the country, Hanoi has become the capital of the North, then unified Vietnam country, and kept its role until now.

    Hanoi is one of the 2 largest cultural centers in Vietnam (along with Ho Chi Minh City). There is a great number of libraries, theaters, together with historical relics, beautiful landscapes concentrating in the city. Beautiful and charming natural landscapes, unique handicraft villages, the attractive traditional festival in Hanoi…will be promisingly interesting tourism products.
