On the morning of August 15th, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade launched a design contest for handicraft products and honored the typical artisan handicraft of Hanoi in 2018 with the theme ” Fine arts associated with the development of craft villages and tourism in Hanoi. “

The contest aims to encourage organizations and individuals to promote creative ideas in the design of handicraft products. At the same time, gathering the wisdom and opinions of some domestic and foreign handicraft experts to create new and innovative products with high economic, technical and aesthetic value. 

Organizers said that through the contest created from 250-300 samples of handicrafts with new designs to support enterprises and establishments producing handicrafts and fine art in Hanoi. The diversified models and products meet the requirements of the market.

Besides, the contest also honors, recognizes the contributions, dedication, and achievements of artisans in the past years.

Contest for all organizations and individuals in Hanoi. The age, level, the number, and type of products contest are not limited. Artisans of Hanoi’s handicraft industry have been given gifts and products to participate in the contest. The products will be judged on four criteria: creativity, commercials, environmental friendliness, and aesthetics. In particular, the products must ensure that the new product is designed in 2018, not infringe on intellectual property rights and regulations related to industrial property rights, products had never sent to participate in any competition before or at the same time as this contest.
