Your destination is Bau Sau (or the alligator swamp), located at the heart of Cat Tien National Park. Don’t be afraid, alligators in Bau Sau are not aggressive and won’t attack you as long as you don’t do something stupid. Alligators are more active in late afternoon and early morning, when the atmosphere is cooler, so sleepover will give you the chance to observe them better.
The safe place for resting in Bau Sau is the Rangers’ outpost. It is a high floor house as called “nhà sàn” in Vietnamese. The high-floor design keeps the house away from animals as well as keeps it dry on this wet lowland. Also because of this design, the number of tourist stay over is limited to 5. The accommodation is rustic with a number of cute cabins suitable for couples or families and some dorm style rooms

Your target destination is on the bank of Dong Nai River, Cat Tien Commune, Lam Dong Province. This place is the former capital of the ancient kingdom of Phu Nam.
